Stone Chips

Stone chip removal is an easy process. Just time consuming. They look awful on a fresh cleaned car and stand out a mile.

Obviously its just stones and tiny bits of debris flicked up off the road from a car in front. They impact the car and damage the paint by chipping it off. The bare metal is often exposed to the elements. Which in turn can lead to rusty patches starting. Not good. So, firstly we will clean the bonnet up, then treat any rust starting (although its better to remove them before this starts!). Then fill the holes left by the chips. Paint and lacquer the whole bonnet. And there you go, one brand new looking bonnet

The same process is done to bumper stone chips too. Although they suffer a little less as they are often plastic and this absorbs the impact a little better and doesn't chip the paint

This process is definitely worth doing. If you intend to keep your car, it will stay looking good and limits rust possibilities in the future. Or, if you are trying to sell the car, it can make it a more desirable proposition to purchasers than someone else's car.

This Fiesta had loads of chips, and some major ones in the middle. Was a respray due to colour change anyway, but process is the same
