Full resprays of cars can be undertaken. From as little as £1500. Depending on condition of car, colour wanted and any work needed to repair panels beforehand.

A proper job is not as easy as it sounds. First the car has to be stripped of all trim, badges, door handles, locks, windows. On newer cars this alone can take 2 days alone. Then the prep, this may involve correcting dents or rust patches, again could easily take several weeks. Next entire car is primered, once cured it is fully sanded. Finally some colour goes on, maybe 2-3 coats. Then the lacquer (clear) for UV protection and a nice glossy shine. Once this has dried the entire car is sanded a further 1-5 times (depending on the quality of the finish you require) Show cars get 2-3 coats of lacquer then sanded at least 5 times, then compounded up to 3 times. But normal road cars won't require this and are normally fit for use straight from lacquering. The car then needs rebuilding, again depending on car as to how long this takes.
